A dog named ZOE
A Whippet-cross bitch
Zoe is an eight-and-a-half-year-old Whippet-Cross bitch who was rescued by her family at six months of age. However, when she moved in with her new family, she began displaying severe behavioural changes, including anxiety, fear of loud noises and the dark, and aggressive behaviour towards family members who attempted to remove her from the furniture or leave the house without her. She would ferociously guard the front door and even try to bite their legs, forcing family members to leave through a ground-floor window. A few years ago, Zoe was diagnosed with arthritis in her back leg, but she was not taking medication for it. The vet concluded that Zoe's bizarre behaviour was a case of absence anxiety.
Upon first meeting Zoe, she appeared very affectionate but had some emotional issues that may have originated before her adoption, as well as physical pain. Zoe only accepted a few remedies for the first few days, including Cornflower water, Angelica root, and Neroli essential oils. These seemed enough to offset her mood and behaviour into a healing crisis. Afterwards, Zoe began selecting several other aromatic remedies for immune support, pain and inflammation, emotional release, and detoxification of accumulated toxins.
After eight days, Zoe's temperament and behaviour had transformed into that of a much calmer and peaceful family dog. She no longer displayed anxious or aggressive behaviour towards the family and even started going on evening walks with no fear of the dark or loud noises. Family members were relieved at Zoe's change in behaviour in a relatively short time, and the family household united again.
