Natural pet care

Who can use this animal therapy?

Pet owners using this therapy find the process fosters trust and understanding with their pet and helps to stabilise training.

Like ours, an animal's body can be influenced by ‘stressors', which could be changes in their environment, such as a new home, owner or carer, or changes to their existing routine or lifestyle. This therapy for animals also helps pets deal with the physical and emotional stresses of ageing and makes them more comfortable and peaceful at the end of their lives.

Horse therapy

Horse owners using this therapy find their horses generally become more focused and efficient in their work.  It can help them settle into a new yard, making them more comfortable in their surroundings and trusting of their handlers. This natural pet care has proven effective in treating a wide range of health conditions, such as intestinal parasites, laminitis, sarcoids, coughs, breathing, wounds, and abscesses, and alleviating persistent aches and pains that prevent animals from moving freely.

Livestock

Livestock animals such as smallholdings and petting farm activity centres. This approach to natural pet care and well-being can help animals regain and maintain emotional and physical balance, ensuring they remain calm and healthy in situations that may otherwise cause stress. It can boost an animal's immune system and natural healing processes, improving any existing health problems and providing protection against disease. While adding vitamin and mineral supplements to animal feeds is done with careful knowledge, it may not be the animals' natural choice. Therapy provides that choice.

Rescued Animals

Rescued animals are the most vulnerable in society. Often, they have suffered abuse, illness or severe hardship, which can leave lasting physical and psychological scars that take years to heal. Sometimes, the trauma is so severe that the animal may never fully recover. Because this approach to natural pet care provides physical and emotional support, it has been proven to help rehabilitate animals who have suffered mental and physical hardship, helping them regain balance and health.

I offer my services FREE to rescue centres.

Your contribution, whether it's directly working with individual animals at the centre or attending workshops for the public (pay to attend), is crucial. All the proceeds from the workshops will go directly to the rescue centre, ensuring the continuation of this valuable service. I only request a contribution towards the remedies used and travelling.

Renowned rescue centre Battersea Dogs Home has successfully integrated this therapy into its natural pet care program for dogs and cats. Another valuable benefit of this therapy is that it enhances the bonding experience between new owners and rehabilitated animals by fostering trust and mutual respect.
